==Lap 51=

“Come along, to my office!” Captain Falcon shouted enthusiastically.
Earl nodded and followed him past the two Blue Falcon's that sat in the Falcon Garage. The day had passed, Abigail was now a part of Team Seppuku and Earl had lost his spot on Chiya's bed. Now needing to camp out elsewhere every night, Earl immediately finds himself conflicted on his views with Abigail. On one hand, he would inevitably lose Chiya's attention and a place to sleep every night. But on the other hand, Abigail was a kind person who had only just found her sister. Ultimately, Earl couldn't make up his mind of whether Abigail's presence in the base was a bad thing or not. This would be decided for sure once Seppuku returned from his trip, as this would establish whether there would be conflict within the base.
The Abigail predicament had been set aside for the time being, however, as something else of great interest had been sparked back into Earl's head. After having discovered the strange information slightly visible on the damaged Blood Falcon helmet, Earl immediately turned to Captain Falcon for help.
Captain Falcon opened the door to his office, Earl approached the tall man from behind and raised an eyebrow. Just as he remembered, Captain Falcon had a Blood Falcon helmet of his own that was hooked up to a nearby computer.
The legendary racer swung his finger towards the helmet, “Like that helmet?”
The two approached the helmet, but Earl responded with a look of disappointment. He grasped his waist and shook negatively. “No, this helmet looks different...”
“How so?”
Earl leaned down and rubbed his chin, then looked up at Captain Falcon's helmet, “This is the same kind of helmet that you're wearing now.”
“Correct. The Mark IV.”
The helmet had a slight spartan-like appearance with golden trims and a stylish electronic visor. This was the most modern design Captain Falcon had come up with, but this only left Earl more confused.
“But if you designed that helmet, why does Black Shadow copy its design for Blood Falcon? Couldn't they make their own design?”
The Captain leaned over the table and hummed slowly whilst staring at the silver skull of the helmet, “That's what I'm trying to figure out. Obviously, they copied my design, but there's no way that they copied the functions of my visor. I'm trying to extract information from this helmet, see what Blood Falcon has that I don't.”
“And where did you acquire this?”
He rubbed his chin and shrugged, “It was found on Mysteria, prior to the recent bombing. The government stowed it away and kept it a secret, but I-”
Earl widened his eyes, “You stole it?”
“Only because I could make use of it, while the Mysterians merely wanted it tucked away.”
“That's weird, why would this be left on Mysteria? I mean, even if Blood Falcon had attacked them on the ground, doesn't he wear that German helmet now?”
“If I can unlock the dark secrets of this helmet, perhaps I can figure that out...” Captain Falcon's distracted gaze momentarily turned towards Earl, “But enough of that. What kind of helmet do you have?”
“One that's a lot more simple. No silver trims, no ridges, not as thick-”
Followed by the snap of his fingers, Captain Falcon smirked, “The Mark II. The helmet we used from the F-Zero X to GX Grand Prix.”
Earl lowered his eyelids and glanced downward for a moment, “...F-Zero X...” he nodded strongly, “Yeah, come to think of it, I think that is the same kind of helmet from X.”
“My Mark II had universal tracking software, the internet, and weapon accuracy enhancement in the visor.”
“I don't know much about that stuff, but I think it did have universal tracking software...”
Captain Falcon leaned against the table and crossed his arms, “How come?”
Earl poked his chin and hummed with his mouth open, “Uh, well, I couldn't read it all because of the broken visor, but I did see something talking about a certain destination having been met...” He closed his eyes with a twitching eyebrow, trying to think, “I know it said that the destination had been met five years ago...”
“Five years ago, are you sure?”
He nodded, “I think the location of the destination was marked, but it was cut off by the broken lens...”
Earl suddenly found Captain Falcon leaning in towards his face. A slight grunt was invoked. “Wh- what are you doing?”
“Was there any hint of where this destination may have been?”
“Nope.”
The Captain fell back against the table once more and rubbed his chin ponderously, “Odd, because Blood Falcon was practically a new racer five years ago, if I recall correctly.” Earl gasped silently and looked up at the man, who was now looking down at the Mark IV helmet. “If the date is correct, then you very well may possess Blood Falcon's original helmet. One that he must have broken and got replaced.”
“But how would Seppuku have gotten hold of it?”
Again, Captain Falcon fell silent, now wondering the same thing. He glanced away from Earl and tilted his head, “Perhaps I'm wrong, maybe Seppuku stole it from him during a fight.”
“But the final destination was met...”
“Meaning the fight occurred at the destination, or Blood Falcon had some kind of accident upon reaching it. Either way, you're correct. He would have simply turned off the tracking software once reaching his destination, but if this is the first thing that popped up once wearing the helmet, he must have left it that way after taking it off...”
Earl let out a whistle, “So essentially, we know that the helmet was taken off either voluntarily or involuntarily upon immediately reaching the destination.” He lowered his eyebrows and hummed, “But why?” he whispered.
Captain Falcon had found himself locked away in what almost appeared to be a trance. He slowly tilted his head and dropped his jaw in slight shock. “Unless...”
Earl turned his head and raised his eyebrows. The tall man remained silent after muttering this, then dug his fingers behind his belt. Earl lowered his eyebrows impatiently.
“Well, unless what?”
More silence ensued before Captain Falcon turned away from his mechanic and shrugged. “Nothing, just a thought...”
“Falcon?”
The man approached his desk and cracked his knuckles with gritted teeth, “Come back with the helmet. We could simply hook it up to my computer and get to the bottom of this by displaying the information on a screen.”
Earl blinked once, “Oh, that would be great! But...” he dipped his head down and quirked his mouth, “Seppuku has never wanted us to touch this helmet. He'd destroy me if he learned that I put this helmet on, let alone touch it in the first place.”
“Then, sneak it out when he's not looking.”
“But- but-”
Falcon spun around and pointed his finger up, “Ah, one more word of advice. Don't share your discovery with anyone, not even Ms. Flower.”
Earl strongly nodded, “Of course. Chiya has a tendency to blurt things out when under pressure, and I don't want to imagine the look on Seppuku's face if he learns about this.”
“Excellent, go now, then. Enjoy the day, then bring the helmet while Seppuku's guard is down.”
He sighed and rubbed the back of his neck, “Well, I have a feeling that enjoying this day is going to be hard once Seppuku comes home to Abigail...” he gulped and gritted his teeth, “Jeez, I really should be home getting ready to defend her if necessary...”

Together in Chiya's bedroom, the two young sisters sat together on the bed holding cats. Chiya was stroking Mauser while Abigail gently stroked Siberia. The television was on in the background and had briefly been talking about Chiya's antics. This amazed Abigail, as she never could have imagined her sister becoming such a celebrity.
“Do you still play soccer?”
Chiya shrugged, “I've never had the opportunity since that final year at regionals. I did come back to Mysteria this year to watch the regionals game between Engelland and New Edinburgh.”
Abigail gasped loudly, “Did we win!?”
“Yeah, I was given the opportunity to give the team a pep talk, then the striker went on to win the game.” She closed her eyes and looked away from Abigail, “But, then Dark Million destroyed New Edinburgh...”
“I heard about that...”
“Part of me almost wishes that those girls had beaten us, because now many of them are likely dead.”
A heavy look of frustration had suddenly unloaded over Abigail, “It makes me so angry that the one who has caused us so much pain showed up at that F-Zero race...”
“You saw?”
“Aye, you were the only one brave enough to pursue him through the explosion.”
Chiya narrowed her eyes and growled, “That bloody bastard can run, but he can't hide...”
Abigail brought her feet together and tilted her head, “What do you mean?”
Only slits of her eyes were exposed, but Chiya was refraining from dropping the truth down onto her young sister. Abigail had been demoralized once after witnessing her sister execute her father at the simple age of 13, Chiya wasn't prepared to explain how her bloodshed continued throughout the years.
“The Federation will find him.”
Abigail gazed into her eyes, then scratched her throat, “So---o, what you've been trying to tell me this past night, is that the Federation isn't evil?”
“We were fed lies by our government. Perhaps Magica is evil, but the Federation is not.”
“But, Dad always said that-”
Chiya cringed and dipped her head down, “Dad was a socialist, not a commputist. There's a difference.”
“Commputist?”
“Whatever that one political party is.”
All of a sudden, very abruptly, Earl had rushed into the bedroom panting. Both ladies dropped their cats and widened their eyes. Chiya was the first one to pucker her lips and narrow her eyebrows.
“Chiya!”
“Earl, please knock before entering. You need to respect my sister's privacy.”
Earl swiftly nodded at Chiya, but looked up at the two with quivering eyes, “I saw the Red Dove stopped at the intersection, he'll be home any second!”
Chiya grunted and leapt onto her feet, “Blimey! We need to prepare for his arrival!”
Of the three, Abigail appeared most confused. She was looking back and forth between the two, trying to make sense out of their panicked attitudes. She tilted her head and quirked her mouth.
“Is Seppuku, like, the president of this planet or something?”
Chiya grabbed her hand and shook negatively, “No, but, you should make a good impression.”
Earl tucked his chin under his shirt and whimpered slightly, “Even worse, given his recent track record, he might come home with Jody...”

Chiya, Earl, and Abigail all stood together in a line near the lobby door in preparation of Seppuku's arrival. His mission to White Land had come to an end, but naturally, he would be in a negative mood given the recent circumstance. Chiya and Earl knew how Seppuku might react to meeting Abigail, but the young woman had no idea what kind of person she was about to meet.
A strong shock went down the spine of each person as the doorknob turned. Earl widened his eyes and looked down at Chiya, who appeared just as shocked.
“He's not kicking it open...” she whispered to Earl.
While Seppuku didn't kick it open, he did force it open strongly. There he stood at the door with a blank expression, Chiya waved her hand excitedly and bounced up.
“Hi, Seppuku!” she greeted loudly.
“Yeah,” he responded coldly.
Earl cleared his throat, “How was your mission?”
Seppuku walked forward and sighed, “Well, to be honest, it was pretty amazing. We talked, we drank, and then we-”
Before he could finish his sentence, he came to a stop in front of Earl. He slowly backed up and lined himself up with Abigail, a simple look remained on Seppuku's face before looking down at her. The young girl was absolutely towered by Seppuku, which caused her to tremble. The darkly clothed man looked straight down into her sapphire eyes and hummed. Abigail gritted her teeth with a smile and waved.
“Hi.”
Seppuku responded by looking up at the ceiling whilst scratching his throat, one eye remained looking down at her.
“And who might you be?”
She smiled nervously, yet confidently, “Abby- Abigail Flower.”
He looked down at her once more and nodded, “Okay.”
Chiya beamed and grasped her waist proudly, “I found and brought her here from Sand Ocean. I completed a mission of my very own while you were gone!” she reported excitedly.
The young sister nodded and bowed to him, “I'm so happy to have finally met you, Lieutenant Seppuku.”
Not a single change was made in his facial expression. He merely continued to gaze down at her for a few moments, trying to take in what was happening. Chiya cleared her throat and looked away from the three nervously.
“Um, she's going to be staying with me in my room...”
Earl nodded, “You can keep your bed, I'm going to crash elsewhere in the base.”
Abigail reached her hand out with a heavy smile, “I look forward to working here!”
Seppuku didn't bother acknowledge her attempt at a handshake. Finally, after studying the young woman for a few moments, he raised an eyebrow.
“Answer me this, child. What is your favorite animal?”
She snapped her fingers, “The cat!”
Seppuku nodded and turned his head away from her. Having heard this response, he simply walked past the two towards the hallway door. Abigail's smile immediately faded as the three turned towards his back.
“Stay out of my office.”
Abigail silently gasped and widened her eyes, Earl groaned softly and closed his eyes. Chiya was the only one expressing hostility, but before she could shout, Seppuku had closed the door behind him. Both turned towards Abigail swiftly, who was now standing still with slight watery eyes.
“Abby...”
“Wh- what did I say?”
Earl sighed and shrugged, “Alright, it's time we be honest with you...” he tilted his head towards Chiya, “Seppuku finds Chiya's persona annoying. It was to be expected that he would judge you off of her.” Abigail frowned, Earl smirked at her for a moment, “If it makes you feel any better, he finds me just as irritable.”
“But why hate?”
Chiya forced her finger upward in response, “Seppuku doesn't hate us, he just doesn't like certain aspects of us. If we were to all dress darkly and act like him, then he'd like us a lot.”
“But, how can he not even give me a chance?”
Earl smirked and patted her back, “Give him a chance, and he'll give you a chance. Wait until dinner, then we can all get to know you more.”
She lowered her eyelids sadly and nodded, “Okay...”
Chiya clapped her hands and turned towards Earl excitedly, “Well, forget about Seppuku. I think we should all do something fun!”
Abigail smiled, “Yeah, like what?”
Earl slowly grinned and rubbed his chin, “Hey, wait a minute, I have an idea...”

“Bowling?” asked Seppuku.
The three now stood together in Seppuku's office, Abigail was hiding behind the two with her head hidden behind their shoulders. Both Chiya and Earl had grins, Seppuku was now intrigued, but still not happy after his bad experience getting home.
Earl snapped his fingers, “Yeah, Chiya knows how to play now, and I'm sure Abby will learn once she watches us.”
“I just got back from a horrendous trip. What makes you think that I want to play more Bumper Ball?”
Chiya shook negatively, “We won't use bumpers. I understand the game now.”
“Yeah, but does she get it?”
Both Chiya and Earl turned their bodies, revealing the nervous looking girl. She nodded and brought her hands together.
“I understand.”
Seppuku slammed his fists down, “Do you? Because the last time Chiya claimed to understand bowling, we ended up playing Bumper Ball!”
Earl intervened by bringing his finger up, “Ah! But Jody came and fought us, remember?”
“That's true...” he slowly looked down at his phone and hummed, “Come to think of it, I could call in a few of the Feds to play. We'd probably have a full game of eight.”
Chiya smiled, “See? I just want you to get to know my sister is all. She's an awesome person once you get to know her.”
Seppuku chuckled maniacally, “Yeah, I was told that one time after I finished plowing your mom!”
Abigail beamed and turned towards Chiya, “So, we're going to play Bowl Ball?”
The room went silent, Seppuku sighed softly and brought his arms together. Chiya quirked her mouth and wrapped her arm around Abigail.
“Okay, truth time. Bowling doesn't exist on Mysteria...” Chiya admitted.

Later that day, the four stood together at the bowling alley in what was being considered a friendship exercise. Seppuku had managed to persuade Jody, Dr. Stewart, Dr. Clash, and Rick Wheeler to tag along, however they had not yet arrived. The team were together at the check-in getting their shoes.
“Shoe size?”
Abigail puckered her lips and looked down at her feet for a moment, then back up, “Uh, five point five.”
Earl looked down at her feet and raised her eyebrows with a smirk, “Wow, you've got some small feet.”
“I know, right?”
Seppuku grabbed his shoes off of the counter and shook negatively before walking off, “Wow, Bendek...”
He glared at Seppuku, “What?”
The four approached the same lane as before and sat down around a table. Chiya and Earl were putting their shoes on, but Abigail was left gazing upon the lanes in awe.
“Whoa...”
Earl smirked, “Yeah, bowling's great, no doubt about it.”
She grasped her cheek and tilted her head in amazement, “I've never seen such a big room before...”
Chiya smiled at her sister, then turned towards Seppuku with a confused puckered lip. He had tossed his bowling shoes aside and simply proceeded to the food menu that had been left on the table.
“Uh, Seppuku, you need to wear those shoes to play...”
“Says who?”
She lowered her eyebrows and pointed at a large sign with bulleted rules. Seppuku smirked and swished his hand at the board.
“This alley's cool. They won't stop you unless you have dirty shoes. As you can see, my boots are clean and pristine.”
“Yeah, but shouldn't we-”
Everyone turned their head as Jody made her appearance by stomping her foot down. Seppuku raised his eyebrows in shock and smirked. The chief commander grasped her waist and gave Abigail a solid stare.
“Ah, so this is the sister of Chiya Flower.”
A slight glare had instantly been built upon Abigail's face, almost like a snake, she hissed, “You're Jody Summer...”
Jody appeared almost appalled by this cold comment. Chiya and Earl both grunted and swished their heads towards her. Chiya grabbed her hand and laughed very nervously.
“Uh, Abby-”
“We're playing with someone who supports Mysterian containment?”
Jody's three companions approached her from behind with their shoes, it was clear to everyone that Jody was already pestered. Chiya shook negatively at her sister while breaking into a slight panic.
“No, Abby! That's a lie!”
Jody crossed her arms, “I'll have you know, I was the one who proposed sending Mysteria humanitarian aid after the recent bombing.”
Abigail turned towards Chiya with a confused look, “Huh?”
Seppuku swished his hand up in the air, “Let it go, Summer. She's been turned into a brainwashed drone like all Mysterians.”
“Yes, are were here to bowl or have a biased political argument?”
Lastly, Abigail turned towards Earl, who was nodding in agreement with what was being said. She turned her body towards Jody and nodded softly. “I'm sorry. Chiya's been trying to reeducate me on the Federation.”
It took Jody a few moments to register this, but she managed to smile, “Ah, but the dark days of Mysteria is close to an end. I can feel the Mysterian government opening up to us more and more. I respect your apology.”
Seppuku rested the back of his head against his arms and grinned, “So, you decided to forgive me?”
She closed her eyes in irritation and nodded, “Forgive and forget...”
Jody leaned in against Seppuku's shoulder and smirked. Chiya widened her eyes and grunted, then lowered her eyebrows as she gazed down at Jody's boots.
“Jody, you need to wear bowling shoes.”
She looked back at Chiya, “Says who?”
Chiya briefly widened her eyes before puckering her lips in frustration. Again, she pointed back at the sign of listed rules. Jody raised an eyebrow at the sign, then shrugged. Chiya responded to this by gasping and folding her arms together negatively. Hard to believe, isn't it? That this is the chief commander of the Federation...
Earl snapped his fingers, “Alright, so how do we divide our teams. Team Seppuku vs. Federation?”
Jody shook negatively and stood tall, “Nah, I was thinking we'd do girls vs. boys,” she pointed her finger and waved it towards the three young adults. “Chiya, Earl, and Abby, you're with me. Stewart, Clash, and Rick, you three go with Seppuku.”
Chiya and Abigail stood up excitedly and approached Jody. Earl was left blinking in confusion, finding himself stunned in his seat. Jody inched her finger impatiently towards Earl.
“Earl, come on.”
“But, shouldn't I be playing here with the other guys?”
“No, because then it'd be uneven.” Earl lowered his eyelids and looked back at the four men, “Just come and join the girls.”
Seppuku pointed at Earl, “Ha!”

Jody held the ball up with both hands, her eyes gazed upon the set pins with a fire of passion burning within her stomach. Everyone watched as she made her way to the front of the lane. Abigail was studying her very closely, trying to learn as much as she could before it would be her turn.
She came to an immediate stop at the line and released the ball, forcing it down the lane at a fast speed. Everyone watched as the ball sped straight down the center, but alas, it had moved just slightly to the left and hit the pins at an angle. 4 of the 10 pins had been knocked down in total. Jody widened her eyes and grunted, then growled.
Seppuku mockingly whistled with a grin, “What's wrong, Summer? It's unusual for you to choke!”
“Shut up, I didn't release correctly.”
She picked up another ball and proceeded towards the lane, Abigail was looking back and forth between Jody and her sister. She got up to Chiya's ear while still staring at Jody.
“So, she's supposed to knock them all down?”
“Right, hopefully she can knock them down this time and get a spare.”
Jody fired the ball across the lane like a bullet. This time, the ball struck the center pin and laid the other pins down. She grinned and turned towards Seppuku, who merely shrugged at her.
“Don't get cocky, woman. I'm going to pull the plug on every pin.”
Chiya leaned in towards Abigail and lowered her eyelids, “Oh, I forgot to mention. Seppuku has a big ego...”
Seppuku looked over the rack of balls and stood humming. Jody leaned against the table and narrowed her eyebrows at him. “Just pick a damn ball already.”
“I'm looking for a heavy one.”
She snapped her fingers and pointed towards the top of the rack, “There's a heavy ball up there.”
“Yeah, but it's blue.”
Jody sat down and lowered her eyebrows, “Unbelievable child.”
Seppuku soon approached the lane with a classic black bowling ball. An egoistic grin was made as he locked the ball back.
“Strike in the book.”
He fired the ball forth very quickly as well, Abigail widened her eyes. Oddly enough, though, the ball went the complete opposite direction as Jody's throw. This hit the right side and took down about 6 pins. He grunted loudly as Jody mocked him loudly.
Earl grabbed Abigail's arm and smirked, “That's what you call karma.”
Seppuku wasted no time in grabbing another ball, “Whatever, I'll take a spare.”
Just as he said, he had secured an easy spare by firing the ball straight into the remaining pins. Abigail tugged on her shirt and gritted her teeth.
“Jeez...”
Earl grinned, “Don't worry, Jody and Seppuku are bowling tanks—and fortunately Jody is fighting on our side.”
Seppuku sat down next to Stewart and swished his hand towards Earl challengingly, “Well, go on, make us laugh, Bendek.”
He brushed off the hostile comment with a smirk while proceeding towards the lane. “You better brush that smirk off your face now, Seppuku. It's gonna be embarrassing once you lose after making insults.”
Seppuku remained silent as Earl approached the lane. He grabbed an emerald ball and checked its weight, then nodded with a grin. He positioned himself correctly, then ran over to the lane. Abigail leaned forward and lowered her eyelids with a quivering smile.
“Your boyfriend is so cute...”
Chiya rolled her eyes with a prideful smile, “I know.”
Earl fired the ball off, completing the toss by striking his fist up into the air confidently. The ball moved at a reduced speed compared to the other throws, but wasn't changing its position on the lane. The ball nearly struck the center of the pins, but unfortunately did not. 7 of the 10 pins were knocked down, but unfortunately, 2 of the pins were on two different ends.
He celebrated his hit, but then dropped his arm down in frustration, “Gah, damn, I won't be able to make that spare.”
Jody stood up with a concerned look, “Go for one pin. You might get two if you go for the center.”
“Understood.”
Abigail leaned in with lowered eyebrows, then licked her lips. “How is he going to do this?”
Chiya brought her hands onto her lap and shook negatively, “He won't get em all.”
Earl took a run towards the center, then released the ball and fell to his knee. This throw was much quicker and precise. The ball knocked the center pin down and even managed to tape another pin, unfortunately, the other pin merely wobbled.
He shrugged and turned towards the table with a smirk, “Eh, eight out of ten is good.”
Dr. Stewart walked up to the lane and stretched his arms, “This should be a good test to see how my body has healed.”
Abigail turned towards Chiya and Earl with gritted teeth, “Is this guy any good?”
Chiya brought her fingers together and hummed as she concentrated on the man. He picked up a yellow ball and proceeded towards the lane. “Well, he won a bowling tournament with Jody and Seppuku once...”
Stewart threw the ball, but surprised everyone with what appeared to be a very weak and unprofessional throw. Seppuku appeared beyond shocked by this throw. The ball moved at a very casual speed, but managed to knock down about 4 pins.
Seppuku launched out of his seat and cracked his knuckles, “Stewart!”
He looked back at the group and shrugged with a grin, “Sorry, I guess my body hasn't completely thawed yet.”
“Unacceptable!”
Chiya shook negatively, “It's fair this way, Seppuku. We have an inexperienced player, you have someone who needs to take things easy.”
Stewart threw the ball once more, everyone turned their attention towards it. The ball was quickly moving to the left, but fortunately for them, hit a few pins before entering the gutter. He turned towards the group and shrugged, “Seven pins down.”
“You did worse than Bendek...”
Earl rolled his eyes hostilely, “Calm down. We're just playing for fun.”
Seppuku sighed and swished his hand at him, “Flower, you're up.” Abigail gasped and stood up, but was then pulled back down by Earl. Seppuku groaned and face palmed, “Ugh, Chiya Flower, you're up.”
Chiya closed her eyes with a smile and proceeded towards the rack of balls, “Oh boy, I sure hope I can do as good as everyone else.”
Stewart turned his head towards Seppuku and raised an eyebrow, “Something up? You seem especially grumpy today.”
He crossed his arms, “I'm tired. Okay?”
Chiya poked her fingers into the holes of the ball and stuck her tongue out. She very slowly turned towards the lane and gulped. Oh boy, those pins sure are far away... She didn't have very much confidence, but regardless, she was prepared to play an actual game of bowling.
She pranced up to the line and gently released the ball, it landed and rolled at a below average speed. Seppuku sighed and tapped his fingers down on the table impatiently. Chiya crossed her fingers and ducked her head down, waiting anxiously for the ball to make contact with the pins. The ball momentarily hit the center pin, but slightly moved to the right after knocking it down. In total, she knocked down 5 pins.
She wiped her forehead in relief and smiled. Seppuku smirked and brought his hands together. Earl began to clap his hands proudly, followed by Abigail. Chiya smiled at the two and grabbed her ball. She stuck her tongue out and pranced towards the line once again. This time she was determined to make a faster hit.
The ball was tossed and landed roughly, but it proceeded down the lane much faster. Abigail stood up and stuck her tongue out excitedly. The ball hit a few of the pins, and fortunately, every pin had been knocked down. Chiya beamed and shot her fist up into the air.
“Yay!”
Abigail beamed and proceeded to clap loudly for her, “Yay, Chiya!”
“I got the spare!”
Seppuku growled and tilted his head towards the lane, “Clash, go school these kids.”
Dr. Clash stood up and approached the lane. Chiya sat back down while still smiling, she looked over at her sister, but found something surprising. She was staring over at Dr. Stewart with a dreamy smile. Chiya was confused, but then lowered her eyelids with a smile.
“Ah, right, you're a Dr. Stewart fan...”
She bobbed her head up in response and swished her attention back towards Clash, “Uh, oh boy, let's see what this guy does!” she responded loudly.
Clash flexed his neck and grinned, “Time for Dr. Clash to clash with pins!”
No one responded to the joke. Seppuku face palmed and shook negatively along with Jody. He locked his hand back and swiftly rolled the ball down towards the center of the lane. Seppuku raised his eyebrows and gritted his teeth, anticipating for a perfect strike. The ball struck the center, but oddly enough, failed to knock a pin down on each side, leaving 2 pins. Seppuku groaned and dropped his hands down.
Jody turned her head and smirked, “Stop crying.”
Clash grinned and nodded at the challenge, even though this was commonly regarded as the toughest bowling scenario. “I will knock down both pins.”
He ran up to the lane once again and threw the ball forth. Everyone leaned in to see if he could truly pull the challenge off, but alas, all it did was go straight through the empty center. He dropped his hands and quirked his mouth.
“Never mind.”
Chiya slapped Abigail's back and smiled, “You're up.”
“O- oh God...” she walked up to the rack of balls with a puckered lip, immediately searching the rack for a colorful ball. She lowered her eyebrows and hummed, then widened her eyes as the green ball Clash had been just using came into sight.
“Oh! I like green!”
Chiya clapped her hands with a confident smile, “Go, Abby, go!”
Seppuku simply raised an eyebrow whilst holding his cheek, intrigued to see what this young woman could do. Considering she was but a teenager 3 years ago, Seppuku wasn't expecting anything amazing.
Abby gulped and approached the lane after finding the three holes on the ball. She was slightly taken back in awe by how heavy the ball was.
“Okay, here I go...”
She got a quick moving start, then locked her hand back. She fired her hand forth, but alas, she failed to let go of it in time. Within a mere second, she had both released the ball and came crashing down onto the floor. Everyone but Seppuku gasped.
“S- sister!”
Seppuku covered his mouth and chuckled mockingly, “Oh my, what a typical way to-”
To everyone's surprise, though, the ball had struck the center of the pins—knocking them all down. Jody's eyes shot open in shock, Seppuku was merely left flabbergasted by what he had just witnessed. Abigail got onto her knees and looked up.
“D- did I get em?”
Chiya clapped her hands excitedly, “Good job!”
“Way to go!” shouted Earl.
Seppuku crossed his arms and smirked respectfully, “Hm, nothing short of luck...”

Later in the game, Abigail had thrown the ball once again, much more accurately than her first throw. Many were left surprised by the young woman's performance after having watched her throw 5 times now. Even Seppuku was left feeling somewhat challenged, as Abigail was proving to be just as precise as Jody with her throws. Though not driven by power, Abigail had a near perfect tendency to toss the ball directly down the center every time.
Once again, the ball hit the center and knocked each pin down, securing an easy strike for her team. This was her 2nd strike of the game. She beamed and fired her fist up excitedly.
“Yes!”
Chiya, Earl, and Jody clapped for her once more, even Dr. Stewart was shooting was shooting a respectful grin her way. Abigail had spun around and proceeded towards the table, but briefly caught sight of Stewart looking at her. As if her blood had suddenly been drained, Abigail widened her eyes and looked away from him. A slight blush had formed on her face as she quickly sat down next to her sister.
Seppuku crossed his arms together and hummed, “She's better than Chiya, I'll give her that...”
Rick smirked and stood up, “I want her on our side next time.”
“Just go knock down those pins...”
Rick tugged on his jacket and walked over to the lane with a confident grin, “I'm getting us an X this time...”
Abigail brought her hands together and continued to glance over at Stewart with a shy smile. Chiya softly punched her arm and beamed.
“Great work!”
Her blush slowly began to fade as she looked into Chiya's eyes, but her mind remained thinking about the legendary F-Zero racer. “Dr. Stewart was grinning at me...”
Earl raised a curious eyebrow at her, but Chiya smirked, “Think he likes you?”
Again, Abigail began to blush, “Who? Me?” she lowered her eyelids with a dreamy smile, “Nah, nah, nah. That's ridiculous...” she answered silently.
“You two realize that he's in his forties, right?”
Abigail didn't take offense to Earl's comment, rather she rested her chin on her palm with the same lovestruck smile, “He's only twenty-some years older than me...”
The three were interrupted as Rick cheered loudly, having knocked down all pins. He turned towards his team and pointed at them. “What'd I tell you!?”
Seppuku responded by grinning, “Well done, Wheeler. Another strike and we'll be back in the lead where we belong.”
Jody was about to proceed on with her turn, but was then shocked to find her pager going off. Everyone was alarmed by the loud beeping, and soon, Stewart, Clash, and Rick found their pagers going off as well. Jody grunted loudly and swiftly brought the device up to her face.
“This is Jody Summer, report!”
Everyone waited as Jody listened to her pager, Abigail appeared most shocked of all. Seppuku was tapping his foot down impatiently. After listening for a few moments, Jody grunted again.
“Understood, we'll be there momentarily!”
She slapped her pager back onto her belt and turned towards her companions. Seppuku pointed at the lane and quirked his mouth. “Come on, go already.”
“Sorry, Seppuku, but we gotta jet.”
“What!?”
Her companions all stood up and approached her. She sighed and shook negatively, “Bunch of teenagers at the skate park supposedly doing drugs. Gotta break it up.”
Seppuku now stood up and growled, “But- but- bowling!”
“Sorry, duty calls. Technically, we are working right now.”
The Federation officers walked away from the lane, having brought a quick end to a heated game. Seppuku remained standing with a greatly frustrated look. Chiya, Earl, and Abigail were all exchanging nervous glances, wondering what was to happen next. After abruptly chugging the remainder of his soda, Seppuku simply walked away.
Chiya turned her body, “Hey, Seppuku! Wait up!”
He shook negatively, “Let's just go home and have dinner.”
Abigail dipped her head down and frowned, “So, that's it? The game's over?”
“Afraid so,” answered Earl.
Seppuku marched out of the building in a fury, this left Chiya angrily crossing her arms. Earl and Abigail stood up. Momentarily, Chiya stood up as well and narrowed her eyes.
“Blimey, he's really having some attitude problems today...”
Abigail smiled confidently, “Well, I'm sure things will get better at dinner!”

But she was wrong. The four later sat around the dining table with full plates, but Seppuku was the only one refusing to talk. Occasional attempts at starting conversations were made by just about everyone, but Seppuku simply remained silent. It was now evident to everybody that Seppuku wasn't acting like himself, even Abigail believed this to be true, despite the fact that she had never met him before.
Abigail was eating the vegetable dish Chiya had prepared for everyone, she was trying her hardest to refrain from making any crunching sounds as she chewed. Earl was constantly glancing up at Chiya, while she was constantly looking at Seppuku. There was no clear sign of enthusiasm within the man with a dark soul, he was practically asleep.
Once again, desiring to try and bring up a conversation, Abigail wiped her mouth and smiled at Chiya. “I know that Mom taught you how to make this.”
Chiya grinned without looking at her, “How come?”
“The way you cut the vegetables, and the fact that you're using a family recipe.”
Proudly, Chiya nodded, “Well, you'd be correct.”
Earl nodded as well, “Fiona's an amazing woman.”
“I agree...” Seppuku muttered softly.
Both Chiya and Earl widened their eyes, but Abigail didn't understand the sexual innuendo. Earl lowered his eyelids and gazed towards the main entrance, “Well, at least he said something...”
The room had gone silent once again. Chiya and Earl were once again silently eating, but Abigail was now observing Seppuku's appearance closely. The man continued to eat silently with a simple expression. Despite the claims that he was angry, she simply didn't see much visible anger on him. As hurtful as it was to consider, Abigail was slowly concluding that Seppuku plain and simply didn't like her.
Abigail's next action was practically suicidal. After breathing in, she faced Seppuku and blinked once. “So, Seppuku, what's your story?”
Earl widened his eyes and swallowed before turning towards Seppuku. He merely looked up at her and raised an eyebrow, “My story?”
“Yeah, like, where do you come from?”
He gazed into her eyes intimidatingly for a few seconds, then shrugged and returned to his meal, “That doesn't concern you.”
She dipped her head down and frowned, “Oh...”
Easily spotting the crushed look on her face, Chiya narrowed her eyebrows and put down her eating utensils. She turned towards Seppuku hostilely and crossed her arms, “Yeah, I'd like to know that, too.”
He snarled at Chiya and shook negatively, “I was constructed by the simple building blocks of existence in this known universe. What the Hell is it to you?”
Abigail shrugged, re-assuming control over the topic, “I don't know. I just think we should get to know each other considering I'm going to be working for you.”
Seppuku barred his teeth down angrily, “Why can't you just go find a job in the Upper City and beat it?”
Earl and Abigail both gasped, Chiya responded furiously by pushing her food aside, causing the entire plate to nearly fly off the table. She stood up and fired her finger towards him angrily.
“What the Hell's your problem!? I just saved her from the treacherous planet of Sand Ocean, and without even giving her a chance, you want her to leave!?”
Earl nodded, “Yeah, that completely redefines the word 'Jackass'.”
“Oh, I'm a jackass, eh?” he crossed his fingers together and faced Abigail, “Little girl, why are you here? Don't you realize what you're getting yourself into?”
The young woman blinked at him in a clueless manner, then shrugged, “Uh, I just wanted to be with my sister again. I mean, she did save me, like she said.”
“No, no. You claim that she has saved you, but don't you think she may have put you in more danger?”
“What do you mean?”
Chiya and Earl swiftly exchanged nervous glances, Seppuku had grunted and raised an eyebrow. He leaned in towards her and tilted his head. “What do you- wait, no, don't tell me...” he crossed his arms and quirked his mouth, “They didn't even tell you about what goes on here, did they?”
“U—uh, I don't think so, not quite...”
“Dear child, what do you honestly think we do here, design fruit baskets?”
She dipped her head down and rubbed the back of her neck, “Well, okay, I did hear something about an armory, so----o...” she shook negatively and smiled at him, “We manufacture guns. Fine, I can do that.”
“Wrong, we shoot those guns.”
“What?”
Seppuku turned towards Chiya and sighed, “Flow- Chiya, you wanna drop the bomb, or should I?”
Chiya sighed and rolled her eyes whilst holding her cheek, “You as might as well sum it up...”
Abigail turned towards her sister with a slightly petrified look, “Sum what up?”
Quickly out of his seat, Seppuku stood tall and mighty. He swished his hand forth strongly, “We are the seekers of justice, the deliverers of Lorraine, the puritans of existence...”
Abigail blinked once, then lowered her eyebrows, “G- give me a second, I don't recognize some of those words...”
“Your father was killed by Black Shadow, not your sister. Your city was destroyed by Black Shadow, not the Federation. And the one who threatens humanity on a regular basis is indeed Black Shadow.” He took a bow and grasped his waist, “We serve to bring an end to his tyranny. All of us here have had something dire taken from us, and we strive to repay the favor at long last. Through violence...”
“I don't understand what you're saying...”
Chiya grabbed her hand, “Abby, we're peacekeeping vigilantes. If someone was in danger and needed immediate assistance, sometimes we had to kill to protect them.”
“Oh God!”
Earl nodded, “We've survived a gang war, the supernatural, the Federation, even space pirates. We do belong to a dirty organization. Right now, we're just trying to close the book on Black Shadow.”
Abigail's eyes quivered in shock, “B- but what about F-Zero?”
“F-Zero is a whole different story, but at times, must be used to further our goals against Dark Million,” answered Seppuku.
Finally, Abigail turned towards Chiya with watery eyes, “Chiya, you kill people..?”
“Not usually, but if I'm threatened by evil, I must.”
“Gosh...”
Seppuku sat back down and crossed his arms, “So you see, it's not that I hate you. If anything, I'm trying to protect you. We are at war with Black Shadow, and if Blood Falcon were to show up at our door tomorrow, he'd try and kill all three of you. So, tell me, did Chiya honestly save you?” The young woman still appeared overly petrified, refusing to answer this simple question. “By all means, it's great that she found you, but what good could a nice little girl like you possibly bring people like us?”
Abigail lowered her eyelids, but then opened them again with a smile, “I could help feed the cats and clean the base while you two are away.”
Seppuku nodded, “Exactl-” he shook his head swiftly, “Wait, what?”
“That's a great idea!” said Chiya.
Earl smirked and shrugged, “As long as you're alright with this, I don't foresee any problems. Besides, Chiya and I are kind of retired from that business now anyways.”
Seppuku pointed his finger upward with a squirming lip, “Did you not hear me? Black Shadow could literally come here and slaughter you in your sleep...”
Abigail shrugged, “Wouldn't that be stupid of him to come in person? I mean, couldn't you beat him?”
“Ha! Beating up Black Shadow would be as easy as-”
Earl slightly smiled and pointed at Seppuku, “Ah, but do remember. Black Shadow only has Blood Falcon left, henceforth, he could only send Blood Falcon at us. If he did that, and ended up losing Blood Falcon, he'd be alone. Then how would he pull off his master plan?”
“He's right,” said Chiya.
Seppuku took a few moments to think about this. For once, he found himself completely agreeing with what was being said. Dark Million without Blood Falcon would leave Black Shadow practically open for an easy assassination, thus making any future attack on Earth a far fetched dream. While he did have the Blood Falcon drones, these men were inept animals that would be unable of performing the heavy task of assassination. In conclusion, Seppuku was out of cards.
He shrugged and smirked at Abigail, “For what it's worth, I've just been giving you a hard time. If you really want to hang out with these two clowns everyday, be my guest.” He narrowed his eyebrows, “Just stay out of my office.”
“Okay.”
Earl smirked at Abigail, “Well, that's a load off my mind.”
Abigail nodded, “Well, as long as you guys are only trying to kill Black Shadow, I'm okay with this,” she narrowed her eyes and squeezed her fist, “It's about time that man gets what's coming...”
Seppuku brightly grinned before chuckling, “Ah, but there is one clear advantage we have over Black Shadow...”
Everyone turned their attention towards him as he concluded his dinner. He dropped his utensils down and put his leather gloves back on. After finishing dinner and looking up, he smirked.
“We now have his address...”

Meanwhile, at that very moment, Black Shadow had begun to clap his hands with a large grin. Facing him in the throne room was the central screen—much larger than the other screens. Half the screen was pitch black, but the other half was coincidentally showing the entire dining table.
His clapping momentarily ceased as Seppuku walked out of sight. Black Shadow now gazed upon Chiya, Earl, and Abigail as they continued dinner without the Man of Darkness. Slowly, Black Shadow stroked his chin and chuckled.
“So you know where I am, my friend?” he muttered mockingly aloud.
He crossed one leg over the other and chuckled once more whilst shaking negatively. He face palmed and shrugged after ceasing his chuckling. Blood Falcon was standing below the stairs, staring up at the screen as well. A slight grin was visible on his face as he watched the three have dinner.
“Would you like me to make a joke out of their conversation and attack their base?”
Black Shadow simply shook negatively, “No, they are right. If I send you forth to destroy them, I risk losing my last remaining knight. Without a knight, the opponent will simply send in their knight to take out the king.” He tapped his chin with a playful smirk, “Life is a game of chess, child. Right now, the king and knight must remain isolated in the back and let the battlefield come naturally.”
“And what if Seppuku comes to us?”
Black Shadow flexed his sharp fingers, “I welcome him.”
Blood Falcon turned towards the screen once more and hummed, “How are we streaming this, anyways?”
“That eludes me. This connection was only recently made, surprisingly, by a helmet.”
“A helmet? Like mine?”
He nodded, “And until someone shuts it off, I have a new favorite evening show to look forward to...” he extended his hand towards the screen, just as Chiya began to scratch her rear cheek, “Seppuku TV Live...”

To be continued...

Lap 50:  F-Zero: Seppuku 3/3 - Lap 50
==Lap 50=
On one end of the universe, there had been fur, food, kidnapping, and now a hot desert. On the other end of the universe was diplomacy, beer, sex, and now a cold blizzard. All the while, Earl Bendek remained safely at home under the ultimate assumption that both his companions were off and about. Seppuku had easily escaped the treacherous blizzard and made it back into the nearby city, Chiya on the other hand, had many miles to walk.
Chiya's bare foot stepped into the sand and was immediately consumed by the desert. Her other foot landed ahead of this one, then, raising her foot out of the sand, she moved this one forth again. Chiya was panting with an exhausted look on her face, her shirt, boots, and socks were being held between her arm and waist as she traversed through the unforgiving desert. While she could easily see the city and race track far ahead, she was in no way close to her destination. Licking her lips slowly, Chiya wiped the sweat off of her forehead and swipe

Lap 52: F-Zero: Seppuku 3/3 - Lap 52
==Lap 52=
It was a nice and relaxing afternoon, Chiya and Earl had yet again bailed on going to Good Odds, thus leaving Azhul to do all of the work. Both were fairly confident that Azhul could man the station by himself while they lazed away. Undoubtedly, this would come back to bite them soon enough. Chiya was one who loved her part-time job, but she wanted to first ensure that Abigail was comfortable before resuming work. Of course, Chiya had a good feeling that Abigail would come around and work at Good Odds as well.
The two Flower sisters continued to slumber away in bed; Chiya in her nightgown, while Abigail merely slept under the blankets. Earl had taken it upon himself to sleep in the lobby with nothing but a blanket and pillow. Sleeping beside Chiya was already something Earl very much missed, but he wasn't prepared to complain. Considering the privilege of sleeping with her was a reward for a full year of commitment, he felt that he was being punished. Above all, he failed to
