F-Zero: Seppuku 3/3 - Black Shadow

Description

Black Shadow returns to conclude Part 3 as the primary antagonist, but not the most recurring one--surprisingly.

After the shameful defeat on Green Plant at the hands of the Galactic Space Federation (but mostly Lieutenant Seppuku), he and what remains of Dark Million once again shrouds itself from the universe in a distant unexplored region of space.

Over the months between Part 2 and 3, Black Shadow has remained in his ship with Blood Falcon and Brock Blaskovitz as they train the Blood Falcon clone army. At this point in time, the clone army has fully developed into adults, leaving Black Shadow with the final task to create the weapons of destruction that they will wreak havoc with on the streets of Mute City.

Black Shadow has for the most part fixed his doomsday cannon, but now understands just how unlikely success is with Lieutenant Seppuku and Captain Falcon on the loose. Ultimately, Black Shadow waits for the superb moment to strike. His plans to capture Lieutenant Seppuku remain the same, but even he has been paying very close attention to the famous Federation v. Seppuku trial. Black Shadow ultimately dismisses the case as foolish and doubts that Seppuku could be killed--even if electrocuted. He views this occurrence as a minor setback, but remains optimistic that he will capture Seppuku... only, Black Shadow believes that Seppuku will come to him this time...

By now, Black Shadow is certain that there will be a full Grand Prix--as he originally thought that he would have destroyed the Earth before it could finish. He now hopes that Blood Falcon may once again win the Grand Prix, as Brock Blaskovitz's F-Zero license had been revoked.

Black Shadow no longer sees any reason to go after Chiya Flower and Earl Bendek, as they no longer live with Seppuku. However, regardless of his lack of intentions, he still ranks Earl as a priority target in the event that he escapes from Earth after his successful master plan destroys it. His hatred for Earl had rose greatly, mainly because of his traitorous role as Excalibur, which in the end was the reason he was beaten on Green Plant.

While Black Shadow has often contemplated recreating Dark Rose with the blood he still has stored, he ultimately accepts that this would be a waste of time and only a burden on Dark Million. Surprisingly, despite his burning hatred for the now deceased member of Dark Million, he still had the heart to create a memorial shrine for Dark Rose in the installed Church of Dark Million--a place for worship in his ship.

Despite the fact that Black Shadow is practically immortal as a result of superior medical technological upgrades to his body, he still very well believes that both Captain Falcon and Lieutenant Seppuku can kill him with ease.

He might be my least favorite character because of the bad treatment he gave Rose in Part 2....
